Career highlights and awards

Milenko Tepić (Serbian: Миленко Тепић; born February 27, 1987) is a Serbian professional basketball player who plays for PAOK Thessaloniki of the Greek Basket League. He is 2.02 m (6 ft 7.5 in) tall combo guard/point forward.

Player profile

Tepić won both the 2006 and 2007 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship gold medals with the Serbian national under age 20 team. He then developed into a key member of Partizan's team at the Euroleague level. A favorite of Coach Dusan Ivkovic, Tepic has a wide-range of offensive skills, which he uses to good effect. As a combo guard-point forward he is a solid shooter and passer.

He is also a good decision maker, and he doesn't jack up three-point shots, unless his feet are set for shooting. He is also a smart player at the defensive end, which is something that was recognized by the 2008–09 Euroleague season champions, Panathinaikos, who signed him to a three-year deal prior to the 200910 season.

Professional career

Tepić began his career playing with the KK Sports World youth teams in Serbia. He made his professional debut with the Serbian League club Vojvodina in 2002. In 2006, Tepić signed with the Euroleague club Partizan Belgrade.

In 2009, he signed a 3-year contract worth 2.5 million euros net income (after taxes and agent's fees are paid) with the Greek League club Panathinaikos.[1][2][3] He played two seasons with the Greek club and won Euroleague in 2011.

On 26 September 2011, he signed two-year contract with the Spanish club Cajasol Sevilla.[4] On July 25, 2013, he signed a one-year deal with Lietuvos rytas.[5]

In December 2013, he returned to his former club, Partizan Belgrade, signing a one-and-a-half year contract.[6]

On September 3, 2015, he signed a contract with the Greek team PAOK Thessaloniki.[7]

Serbian national team

Tepić won a gold medal at both the 2003 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship and the 2005 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship. He also won a gold medal at both the 2006 and 2007 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championships.

He has also been a member of the senior men's Serbian national basketball team, and with the senior team of Serbia, he played at the EuroBasket 2007. At the EuroBasket 2009, he won a silver medal with Serbia.
