Milroy Goes (born 3 September 1986) is an Indian film director affiliated to the Film Craft Federation under Indian Motion Pictures Mumbai, (Currently with Manna Mohie Films MMFilms)[1] who wrote and directed the short film Expect the Unexpected and made his debut in Konkani cinema with the successful theatrical film The Victim[2] with a Bollywood cast (Razak Khan, Deepraj Rana, Ragesh B Asthanaa)[3] and filmed completely in Goa.[4] Goes speaks English, Português, Konkani, and Hindi.

Early life

Milroy Goes was known for his short films, ad film with Australian Cricketer Brett Lee and music videos, one of which was featured on the channel VH1 India.[5]

Events & News

On February 7, 2015, Milroy Goes one of the Jury member along with cinematographer Sharmad Raiturkarand filmmakers Swapnil Shetkar for the first edition of the 'Goa Short Film Carnival' by Goa Talkies.[6]

On February 20, 2015. ‘Peon – Ek Chaprasi’ was premiered at 'Goa Short Film Carnival 2015', a three-day festival exclusively for short films. And on the closing day Milroy Goes received a recognition at the hands of Chief Minister of Goa Laxmikant Parsekar [7]

In 2012 NATIONAL LEVEL GROUP DANCE COMPETITION held at Rabindra Nath Tagore Beach stage Karwar & was Judged by Miss Gujrat, Miss Goa 2010 Prajkta Biliye (She hails from Karwar itself) & Film Director Milroy Goes addressing his next Bollywood Film plan.

In an interview on "Goa Chronicle"[8] Online news portal, Speaking about "Towards a Better Goa" Milroy Goes gave his opinion on different issues of Goa, where he emphasized "most curtail point “Women Safety” – we proudly celebrate ‘Women’s Day” and “Mothers Day” but we do not really educate the basics to the students or the adult."[9]

And in reply to the question Are the people of Goa its biggest drawback or its biggest strength? he quotes "They can be the biggest drawback or the biggest strength but it is solely depends on the people of Goa."

Apart from that, he believes having International Film Festival of India IFFI is an advantage in Goa and he quotes "Ever since we have International Film Festival of India in Goa, it’s been a very good advantage for aspiring Filmmakers or established Filmmakers to exhibit their film or to learn from the films that are been exhibited."[10]
