The Mindanao Autonomous College (formally MACFI or MAC) is the first private college institution in Basilan and the first to have an accreditation both by CHED and TESDA in Basilan. It was founded in 2003.

Presidents of Mindanao Autonomous College
The president of Mindanao Autonomous College is Dr. Mercedes P. Torres, a professor of Education and a dean of Basilan State college prior to her election as president. Dr. Torres is the second president of the school after Dr. Rima H. Hassan, a professor of Education and the school's owner.
