Minx (Hangul: 밍스) is a South Korean girl group created by Happy Face Entertainment in 2014 and is the sister group of Dal Shabet.[1] The group has an overall mischievous tomboy concept and consists of five members: Jiyoo, Su-A, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami. Minx released their debut single Why Did You Come To My Home on September 18, 2014.[2]
Career
2014: Debut with Why Did You Come To My Home
Minx held one of their first live performances at the Oak Valley Summertime Festival on August 9, 2014, where they performed two original songs: "Action" and "Why Did You Come To My Home".[3][4] On September 15, Happy Face Entertainment announced their new girl group.[2] Minx released their debut digital single "Why Did You Come To My Home" on September 18. The song was described as a "new take on the children's rhyme" of the same name.[5] Minx made their official debuted in M Countdown on September 18 and promotions for their debut ended October 26 with a final performance on Inkigayo.[6][7]
On December 22, Happy Face Entertainment released a video cover of the Christmas classic "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" featuring Minx and Dal Shabet.[8]
2015-present: Love Shake
On June 22, 2015, Happy Face Entertainment announced Minx's first mini-album Love Shake with same name of the title track . Minx performed their first comeback stage with "Love Shake" The Show in June 30 and Show Champion in July 1. Their first mini album was released on July 2, 2015.[9][10] The track was promoted as a "joyous song" that "goes well with summer" and is a remake of the song "Love Shake" from Dal Shabet's Bang Bang album.[11][12]In the same day, Minx held and performed a press showcase at Ellui, a club in Seoul.[13]
