Miss Grand International is an annual international beauty contest staged by the Miss Grand International Organization based in Thailand, which searches for women with the beauty to encourage and run the campaign 'Stop the War and Violence' to help people avoid conflict and violence that may lead to war in any form.[1]
The competition takes place over a week in multiple events spread around Thailand.[2] The Miss Grand International beauty contest is organized in Thailand under the direction of Nawat Itsaragrisil and Yuphayao Teresa Chaivisut.
The current Miss Grand International is Claire Elizabeth Parker of Australia who was crowned in Bangkok, Thailand on April 1, 2016[3] after Anea Garcia, stepped down from fulfilling her duties. [4]
