Mister International 2009, the 4th edition of the Mister International pageant, held in Plaza International Hotel, Taichung, Taiwan on December 19, 2009.^[1] 29 contestants competed for the title. Ngô Tiến Đoàn of Vietnam crown his successor Juan Bruno Kettels Torrico of Bolivia.

• Bolivia won Mister International for first time. This is Bolivia's first ever Grand Slam title ever, male or female.
• Lebanon, Venezuela, USA, and Singapore placed for 4 consecutive years since 2006.
• Belgium, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Vietnam placed for the second consecutive year.
• Ireland, Poland, Puerto Rico and Spain placed for first time.
• Greece, and Philippines didn't place for the first time.

• New Zealand last competed in 2006.
• Costa Rica and Egypt last competed in 2007.

Withdrawing countries and territories

• Croatia, Honduras, Hong Kong, Latvia, Luxembourg, Macau, Netherlands, Nigeria, Kyrgysztan and Sri Lanka competed last year but not this year.

Contestant Notes

•  Costa Rica: Alonso Fernández Alvarez competed in Mister World 2007, where he finished 3rd runner up. He also competed in Manhunt International 2007, where he finished as a Top 16 semifinalist and won Mr. Photogenic.
•  France : Maxime Thomasset competed in Mister Universe Model 2009 and finished as a semifinalist.
