Mobeen Ansari (born 29 November 1986), is a Pakistani photographer, photojournalist, painter and writer from Islamabad, Pakistan. He has worked as a photographer in Pakistan and India and has also published a book "Dharkan – The Heartbeat of a Nation"[1]
Life and work
Ansari was born on 29 November 1986 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan to a Muslim family. His father was a telecom engineer. At the age of nine, Ansari had meningitis and lost his sense of smell, balance and his hearing.
Ansari started photography as a hobby in 2003.[2] Since 2003 he has photographed various artists, politicians and sportsmen in Pakistan and India.[3] In March 2015, Ansari published a book of his photography, Dharkan – The Heartbeat of a Nation with more than 90 portraits including Imran Khan, Shahid Afridi, Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Abida Parveen and Javed Miandad.[4][5][6]
