Mockerkin is a settlement in the English county of Cumbria. Historically part of Cumberland, it is situated just outside the Lake District National Park some 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Cockermouth.
For administrative purposes, Mockerkin lies within the civil parish of Loweswater, the district of Allerdale, and the county of Cumbria. It is within the Copeland constituency of the United Kingdom Parliament, and the North West England constituency of the European Parliament.[1]
The name probably derives from the hill-top of a man called Corcán.[2]
