Modal Soul is Nujabes' second solo album. It is a follow-up album to 2003's Metaphorical Music. Like its predecessor, it maintains a combination of hip hop and jazz. Features artists Cise Starr (of CYNE)., Akin, Terry Callier, Shing02, Substantial, Pase Rock, Apani B and Uyama Hiroto.
Modal Soul received very positive reviews, with critics calling it a very worthy follow up to Metaphorical Music.
