Moganti is a family name used in India and Italy. In the state of Andhra Pradesh in South India, it is used to be the family name of all who originated from a village called Moganti-vari-pallem. There is a legendary story associated with this family name. Moganti-vari-pallem used to be a small village neighboring a princely town in what is today called the Vizianagaram district.
