Mohammad Kheirkhah Zoyari also known as Moe Zoyari[1] (born 24 June 1986) is an Iranian photographer who won the Award of Excellence of Picture of the Year International contest[2] at the age of 21. He was the youngest photographer at that time from Iran to win a distinguish international award.

Biography

Zoyari worked for United Press International,[3] and British Broadcasting Corporation from 2005 to 2015. He started his work as a photographer at the age of 14. After covering Iran's nuclear program, earthquakes, and political turmoil, he expended to cover events in Middle East, Europe and the United States. His photos have been published in national, and international journals including Newsweek,[4] Time,[5] Le Figaro,[6] among others. Mohammad left Iran for good after the turbulent aftermath of Iranian presidential election, 2009 and went to Afghanistan for 44 days to be an embedded journalist with U.S. Army, and is now based in San Francisco, California. He is a photo contributor to Associated Press, and a photography writer for Deutsche Welle.[7]
