Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani (Born 1 November 1980) is a Qatari politician who is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.

Career

After graduating with a BA in Economics and Business Administration, from Qatar University in 2003, he joined the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in 2003 as an Economic Researcher. He was later named Director of Economic Affairs, a post he held from 2005 until 2009. [1] Sheikh Mohammad was appointed Manager for the Project on supporting and developing small and medium scale State enterprises at the Ministry of Business and Trade in March 2009, and in November, he was named Director of Department for Public- Private Sectors Partnership, at the Ministry of Business and Trade. In June 2010, he became the Secretary of the Personal Representative of the Emir for Follow-up Affairs, at the Emiri Court. In August 2010 he occupied the post of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Mining Company continuing on to attain the rank of Assistant Undersecretary in January 2011. [2] In May 2011 Sheikh Mohammed joined the Board of Directors of Qatar Authority for Development of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises as well as occupying the position of Chairman of the Executive Committee on the Development of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises. He then held the post of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aspire - Katara Investment Company as from July 2011 until November 2012 when Mohammed attained the rank of Undersecretary.[1]
