Moloy Ghatak is an Indian politician and the present Minister in charge, Labour and ESI Department, Government of West Bengal.[1] Previously he has handled the portfolios of the Minister of Law and Justice, Government of West Bengal and the Minister of Agriculture, Government of West Bengal. He is also an MLA, elected from the Asansol Uttar constituency of Burdwan district in the West Bengal state assembly election, 2011 and had previously been an MLA from Hirapur constituency during the period of 2001-2006.
He is an advocate by profession and usually practiced at the Asansol Court. He is a third generation advocate and also a third generation politician.
