Monadeniidae is a taxonomic family of small to medium sized air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Helicoidea (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). This family has no subfamilies.[1]

Anatomy

This family is defined by an absent diverticulum. The species have one dart apparatus, a stylophore (dart sac), one mucus gland, with a muscular duct that is inserted at base of the dart sac.
