Monaragala (Sinhalese: මොනරාගල; Tamil: மொணராகலை) is a small town of Monaragala District and the largest town in Monaragala District. Monaragala is located 57.3 km northwest of Badulla the capital city of Uva Province, about 151 metres (495 ft) above the sea level and Monaragala is situated on the Colombo-Batticaloa main road.[3]
