Monarrhenus is a genus of plants in the sunflower family.[2][3]
There is only one known species, Monarrhenus salicifolius, native to the Islands of Mauritius and Réunion in the Indian Ocean.[1][4] Its natural habitat is on rocky cliffs. The species is listed as critically endangered.[5]
The genus formerly contained the species "Monarrhenus rufescens", which is now called Pluchea rufescens.
