Monochrome is the third studio album released by the American independent alternative rock music group July for Kings. It is their second independently released studio album.

The album was released on June 23, 2009, on iTunes and on June 28, 2009, on Bandcamp. The band took up main producing responsibilities while Andy Ellis co-produced the track "Say it Now" with Joe Hedges.

Recording, mixing, and mastering

Nine of the album's eleven tracks were recorded by Frank Charlton, Joe Hedges, and John McGuire at Hedges' basement in Erlanger, Kentucky, and J-Mac Sound Studios in Cincinnati, Ohio. The track "Say it Now" was recorded by Andy Ellis and Hedges at Clear Lake Audio in Los Angeles, California, The Red Room Studio in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in Hedges' basement. The track "Emma" was recorded by Hedges, McGuire, and John Stewart at Refraze Studios in Dayton, Ohio, J-Mac Sound Studio, and in Hedges' basement.[1]

Nine of the album's eleven tracks were mixed by McGuire at J-Mac Sound Studios. The track "Blue" was mixed by Hedges in his basement. The track "Say it Now" was mixed by Andy Ellis at Andy's on the 7th Floor in Los Angeles, California.[2]

The entire album was mixed by Blumpy.[3]
