Monokklisia
Monokklisia is a village in Kapetan Mitrousi, Serres regional unit, northern Greece. It is best known for the custom Gynaikokratia.
The village, then called Karajakoi Bala and Karajakoi Zir, was hard fought over between September 30 and October 2, 1916, and finally taken by the 10th (Irish) Division. On the Bulgarian side, poet and author Dimcho Debelyanov was killed.
