Montford M. "Tubby" McIntire, also spelled McIntyre, (September 30, 1884 – January 10, 1963) was an American football coach. He served as the 17th head football coach of the West Virginia University Mountaineers located in Morgantown, West Virginia. He held that position for four seasons, from 1916 until 1920. [1] His coaching record at West Virginia was 24 wins, 11 losses, and 4 ties.[2][3]
McIntire died in 1963 of coronary thrombosis.[4]
