The Monterrey Royal Eagles (Spanish: Aguilas Regias de Monterrey) are a team of the Women's Football Alliance scheduled to begin play for the 2010 season. Based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, the Royal Eagles will play an exhibition game against the New Orleans Blaze prior to the 2009 WFA Championship Game, also held in New Orleans.
They are the first WFA team based outside the United States, as well as the first ever women's football team based in Mexico.
Schedule
They will first play at the Austin Outlaws on April 17. Next will be at the Houston Power on May 22, third will be at the Oklahoma City Thunder on June 5, and finally, at the Lone Star Mustangs on the 19 of June.
