The MoonLight Desktop Environment (abbreviated MoonLightDE) is a desktop environment derived from LXQt and Qt 5. MoonLightDE employs the Simple Desktop Display Manager, and is compatible with both the Wayland display server protocol and the X Window System core protocol. The first alpha build of MoonLightDE was published on 7 July 2014.[1]
