Mooney viscosity
Mooney viscosity is a measure of viscosity commonly used for rubbers taken at a certain temperature, it is named after Melvin Mooney.[1] It is measured by a mooney viscometer and is defined as the torque on instrument's rotating spindle within heated dies (the rubber compound must enclose and overflow the spindle in order for the measurement to be accurate). The unit for mooney viscosity is mooney units.[2]
