Moonlight is an upcoming American drama film directed and written by Barry Jenkins, based on the play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue by Tarell Alvin McCraney. The film stars Naomie Harris, Trevante Rhodes, Andre Holland, and Mahershala Ali. Filming began on October 14, 2015 in Miami.

Production
On August 24, 2015, it was announced that A24 Films had partnered with Plan B Entertainment and Adele Romanski to produce the film Moonlight written by Barry Jenkins, who would also direct the film.[2] It would be based on the play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue by Tarell Alvin McCraney, which A24 would fully finance and handle worldwide distribution, also marking company's first production.[2]
Filming began on October 14, 2015 in Miami, Florida.[1][3]
