Moor End Academy is an academy school located in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield in England.
History
The school opened in 1972 and was known as Moor End High School. The name was changed in 1999 to Moor End Technology College when it became a Technology College as part of the specialist schools programme. In September 2011 the school gained academy status and became known as Moor End Academy.
Organisation
The Academy's house system includes houses named after historical figures, including Gertrude B. Elion, Mahatma Gandhi, and Plato. The Academy introduced the roles of Head Boy and Head Girl in the year 2013–14.
