Moorend is a village in Greater Manchester, England, near the villages of Mellor and New Mills. The main road running through Moorend is Moor End Road. The village contains two pubs, The Oddfellows Arms and The Devonshire Arms, the latter is on the border with Mellor. In the past, Moorend wasn't connected with Mellor however Mellor now borders with Moorend. Many people see Moorend as a part of Mellor. It used to have shops but in recent times Moorend and Mellor have become dependent on nearby towns such as Marple Bridge or Marple.
