Moores Pocket is a suburb of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. At the 2011 Australian Census the suburb recorded a population of 746.[1] Moores Pocket occupies a peninsula or pocket created by the winding Brisbane River.
The origin of the suburb name is from Thomas Moore, an early blacksmith in the area.[2]
