Morar Cantonment is a cantonment town in Morar Subcity in Gwalior district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
Demographics
As of 2011 India census,[1] Morar Cantonment had a population of 2,23,673. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Morar Cantonment has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 87%, and female literacy is 69%. In Morar 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Gwalior Military Station
Morar Cantonment is home to several units of the Indian Army. There are a number of static and mobile units housed within its confines. It also has a Military Hospital, Station Headquarters and other fixed assets like a stadium (Baaz Stadium) and movie theater (Baaz Cinema). There is now an SBI ATM and an Ice Cream Parlour as well (at Baaz Stadium).
