Mordechai Duvid Unger (מרדכי דוד אונגער) was born in 1954 to Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchok Unger of Dombrov.[1] He is the younger son-in-law of the late Grand Rabbi Naftali Zvi Halberstam, the fourth of Bobover Rebbe, and the second to oldest grandson of Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam, the third Bobover Rebbe.
Following the death of his father-in-law, Grand Rabbi Naftali Zvi Halberstam, in 2005, a large part of the Bobov Chasidim favored him as his successor. He is currently Bobover - 45 Rebbe (45 - אדמו"ר מבאבוב), (meaning: the Bobover Rebbe of 45th street - where the center of his community is located), and the other son-in law, Rabbi Yehoshua Rubin, is Bobover - 45 Rav (אבד"ק באבוב - 45
