Morris Jalal

Morris Jalal is a Catholic priest working in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lahore in Pakistan. He received his religious training through the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin and at the Christ the King Seminary (Pakistan) and was ordained a priest on 14 September 1984.[1]

Father Jalal was the parish priest of St. Francis Church, Lahore in 1987. He became the parish priest of St. Mary's Church, Gulberg in 2002. The parish had about 2,200 Catholic families at the time.[2]

On Sep 9, 2007 Father Jalal celebrated the Silver Jubilee of his ordination at a Mass concelebrated with Archbishop Lawrence Saldanha and Auxiliary Bishop Sebastian Francis Shah OFM.[3]

He is the founder and executive director of Catholic TV, the country’s only Catholic television channel started in 2009.[4]

A wave of dengue fever hit the Punjab in September 2011.The virus affected activities of Father Jalal, who with four of his crew members slowly recovered from the virus attack.[5]
