Motikan
Motikan is a tribe inhabiting geographical areas that the indigenous tribes of the region consider the Mutki region of Bitlis in Turkey, as well as the Mutki region of Serhat. The Motikan are also referred to as the Motti, Mutki or Motiki. Members of the tribe in the Bitlis region generally speak Zazaki, while those in the Serhat region speak northern Kurmanci.
The Motikan name is believed by Kurdish scholars to be a variant of the name, Mitanni. The ancient Mitannis or Hurrians are also believed by some researchers to be one of the several ancient ancestral tribes of the modern Kurds.
