Motorway 4 (A4) was a planned motorway from Larissa to Trikala, connecting the A1 motorway with the planned A3 respectively. It was planned to carry the E92 and to be an upgrade of the existing Greek National Road 6 between those cities. As of March 2011, the only completed section is the 4 km section between A1 near Nikaia and the beltway of Larissa.[1] Since the Greek National Road 6 between Trikala and Larissa is being upgraded to a dual carriageway,[2] construction of the remaining part is very uncertain.
