Mottalciata is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Biella in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) northeast of Turin and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Biella. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,445 and an area of 18.5 square kilometres (7.1 sq mi).[1]
