Mounao Thoibi is a 2013 Manipuri film directed by Romi Meitei and produced by Ph. Thoithoi.[1] It stars Bala Hijam as the titular protagonist, with Gurumayum Bonny and Roshan Pheiroijam in the lead, with Surjit, Ibomcha, Modhubala, Priyogopal and Loken portraying supporting roles. It tells the story of a teenager Thoibi (Bala), who is still immatured with her thinking.
The story of the film was written by Laishram Santosh and screenplay by Romi Meitei and Rakesh Roshan. AK Yangoi composed the soundtrack and score of the film by Rahul and Boy Malangba and Romi Meitei wrote the lyrics. The trailer of the film was released in digital platforms on 18 October 2013.[2]
Mounao Thoibi was released on 1 November 2013 on the occasion of Kut Festival.
Synopsis
Pheijao (Bonny) is a bachelor who refused to marry, in spite of the different attempts made by his father, friends and relatives. The meeting of Pheijao with a teenager Thoibi (Bala), who is still pursuing her education in VIII Standard, still immatured; and the consequences met after Pheijao married Thoibi is where the heart of the film lies. The film depicts and tries to show the effects when we go into a wrong path while we are still teenagers. The inclusion of the role Malemnganba (Roshan) in the film provides the film a different taste.

Soundtrack
A.K. Yangoi composed the soundtrack for the film and Romi Meitei wrote the lyrics. The song is titled "Thamoisina Marol Thoklamlaba". This song was nominated for best male playback singer at the Kakching Sahitya Seva Samiti Awards 2014.
