Mountain Crest High School (MCHS), located in Hyrum, Utah, is a public high school. As part of the Cache County School District, it serves students in the 10th through 12th grades in Utah's Cache County. Mountain Crest is very closely related to South Cache 8-9 Center, which is in the same school district, and has the same mascot. Students from South Cache also graduate up to Mountain Crest.

Academics

Mountain Crest also incorporates classes from Bridgerland Applied Technology College. These classes are only available to junior and senior students. In the mornings and afternoon, these classes take up 2 hours and count as 1 full class credit instead of the normal .5 credit assigned for the classes hosted at the high school.Mountain Crest also has a Model United Nations team which took the top two awards at the Regional High School Model United Nations 2007. Mountain Crests scholastic olympiad team also places in competition every year. For consecutive years, Mountain Crest is ranked among the highest in education and efficiency and comprehension levels in the state of Utah. Many students from Mountain Crest also graduate with their associate degree. The AP students from Mountain Crest also test among the highest in Utah considering any students who wants to can register for any AP class they want to while other high schools only have students in AP classes that are recommended for AP classes.

Athletics

The baseball team and girls' cross country team won the 4A state championships.

The boys swim team won the class 4A championship in the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 years.

The football team has won state 3 times, in 1987, 2001, and 2005.

The wrestling team won the 4A state championship in 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
