Mourant Ozannes is an offshore law firm which advises on the laws of the BVI, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey, from offices in each of those jurisdictions as well as in London and Hong Kong. It is one of the largest offshore law firms, with over 50 partners and 460 staff.[1]

2012 - Mourant Ozannes opens an office in the BVI.

2012 - Mourant Ozannes moves into a flagship office at the Camana Bay development to accommodate the significant growth of the Cayman Islands practice.

2012 - Mourant Ozannes opens an office in Hong Kong.

2010 - Mourant du Feu & Jeune and Ozannes merge to form Mourant Ozannes.

2010 - Mourant Group sells Mourant International Finance Administration to State Street, Mourant Private Wealth to RBC and Mourant Equity Compensation Solutions to HBOS. Mourant du Feu & Jeune remains as an independent law firm.

2009 - Mourant is a founder member of the IFC Forum.

2009 - Mourant Group becomes the largest legal and fiduciary services provider with over 1200 staff in offices in the Cayman Islands, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, Guernsey, Jersey, London, Luxembourg, New York, San Francisco and Singapore.

2007 – Mourant du Feu & Jeune merges with Cayman Islands law firm Quin & Hampson.

2006 – Mourant du Feu & Jeune opens an office in Guernsey.

2005 - Ozannes opens an office in Jersey.

2005 – Mourant du Feu & Jeune named Offshore Law Firm of the Year in The Lawyer Awards for the second year in succession.

2004 – Mourant du Feu & Jeune opens an office in the Cayman Islands.

2000 – Mourant du Feu & Jeune opens an office in London.

1998 - Ozanne van Leuven Perrot & Evans shortens its name to Ozannes.

1992 – Law firm Quin & Hampson is founded in the Cayman Islands by Charles Quin and Graham Hampson.

1982 - Rupert Evans joins the practice of Percy J Ozanne, Roger Perrot and Nik van Leuven and the firm becomes known as Ozanne van Leuven Perrot & Evans.

1971 - Nik van Leuven joins the practice of Percy J Ozanne and the firm becomes known as Ozanne van Leuven.

1970s – Mourant du Feu & Jeune establishes trusts and corporate services departments, which later evolve into Mourant Private Wealth, Mourant Equity Compensation Solutions and Mourant International Finance Administration.

1947 - Law firm Mourant du Feu & Jeune is founded in St Helier, Jersey by Helier Mourant, Clifford du Feu and Reg Jeune.

1914 - J W Ozanne becomes a clerk and subsequently an Ecrivan of the Royal Court of Guernsey.

1842 - Ecrivan J C Le Mottée begins practising as a Notary Public in St Peter Port, Guernsey. Le Mottée's practice is subsequently ceded to J W Ozanne.
