Moyar River is one of the tributary of Bhavani in Tamil Nadu, South India. The Moyar river originates from a small town called Moyar along the Masinagudy–Ooty road. This is a natural line of separation between Bandipur and the Mudumalai sanctuary to the south.[1] Moyar River Gorge is 20 kilometres (12 mi) long and is also called the Moyar Canyon. The river flows into the gorge below Theppakadu in a roaring waterfall called Moyar Falls.[2] This river is checked by Bhavanisagar Dam at the valley near Satyamangalam along with Bhavani River.
