Muddy Puddles
Muddy Puddles is a children’s clothing company operating in England, specialising in waterproof, outdoor clothing for children aged 0-12 years. The company was established in 1995 by Susie Cullen in Devon and is now run by Natasha Ascott, a former teacher. [1]
For over 20 years Muddy Puddles has been encouraging children to get outdoors and is a strong supporter of forest schools and outdoor education. In their effort to promote outdoor play and learning Muddy Puddles hosts free outdoor events for families in and around London.Muddy Puddles recent initiative called the ‘Muddy Academy’ aims to promote the Scandinavian Forest School way of teaching in schools across the United Kingdom. Muddy Puddles has worked with organisations like the Forestry Commission, Go Ape and The Wild Network, and in 2015 was one of 10 companies shortlisted for the Virgin Pitch to Rich campaign in the ‘Grow’ category.[3]
Muddy Puddles also works closely with Farms for City Children supplying waterproof clothing for children who visit the 3 farms.
On 20thAugust Muddy Puddles’ new Autumn/Winter 2015 range was released. It featured a number of new designs for Waterproof Jackets, Wellies and All-in-One’s.In 2015 Muddy Puddles was shortlisted for the Junior Magazine and Loved by Parents awards. Muddy Puddles products were also featured in a range of magazines and newspapers including Vogue, The Independent and Hello.
As of August 2015 Muddy Puddles sells Wellies, Waterproofs, Ski wear, All-in-One’s, Jackets, Trousers, Pac-a-Macs, Base Layers, Fleeces, Hats and Scarves.
