Muhammed IV was ninth independent Shah of Shirvan and fifth Shah of Layzan.[1]
Reign
He had expansionist policy. He attacked to Qabala and deposed its ruler Abd-ul Barr Anbasah in 981, he invaded Barda in 982. He suppressed revolts in latter and Derbent in 990. He was succeeded by his brother Yazid.
