Prince Muhammad Nadir Khan is the fourth child of King Mohammed Zahir Shah of the Afghan, House of Barakzai.
Career
He was born 21 May 1941, and educated at the Istiqlal School in Kabul. He is a Persian classical scholar and expert in the sitar.
He was the Deputy Ambassador to Turkmenistan from 2002.
Family
Muhammad Nadir Khan married Princess Lailuma Begum, the daughter of Muhammad Haidar Husaini and his wife, Habiba Begum, at Kabul in 1964, and together they have two sons:
- Prince Mustapha Zahir Khan, born at the Arg-i-Shahi, Kabul, 2 May 1964, and educated at Rome, Vienna, London and Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario.
- He is the Co-Founder of the Afghan Medical Relief Organization (AMRO),[1] and was a Diplomatic Assist to King Mohammed Zahir Shah 1991-2002. He was Afghan Ambassador to Italy from 2002 to 2005, and has been Dir-Gen of the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) since 2005 and a member of the International Committee of the Afghan World Foundation.
- Prince Muhammad Daud Jan was born at the Arg-i-Shahi, Kabul on 16 January 1966 and is a photographer in London.[2]
