Mukund B. S. is an Indian entrepreneur and business executive. He is the co-founder of ReNewIT, which aims to increase the number of high-quality, low-cost PCs and related parts and accessories available to students, NGOs, small businesses and other professionals and common people. He is also the Managing Director of Sriram Eco Raksha Computer Services Pvt Ltd. which was established to ensure cost effective and responsible e-waste disposal.

Education and early life

Mukund B. S. attended school from 1985 to 1997, then attended St. Joseph's Arts and Science College, and completed his B.E in Electronics from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat. He holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM–C).

Mukund then worked for ITC and was part of the core team which took Aashirvaad Atta to new heights. It became the market leader in all parts of India.

Work

Mukund B.S, currently the Managing Director, founded Sriram Eco Raksha Computer Pvt Ltd in 2009. This company was established to cater to the huge demand for e-waste management in India. It has been a leader in the asset recovery industry, and is committed to the safe disposal of technological assets. The company believes in cost effective and responsible e-waste disposal which benefits people from all sections of society. All e-waste is evaluated, and unwanted and irreparable parts are properly disposed of, while reusable parts and systems are tested, refurbished and re-marketed.[1]

Mukund co-founded ReNew IT in 2009 with a "mission to make computers affordable to everyone". ReNew IT has so far sold over 10,000 computers to students, NGOs, small businesses and other uses. The sole goal of the company is to provide people with high-quality, low-cost PCs and related accessories.

The company has supplied computers to many rural and government schools whose students are now using computers for the first time The company had the privilege of working closely with many NGOs who are doing a great job in making India a much better place. The company has created many micro-entrepreneurs who now sell computers, and provide AMC and after sales support. It has also created student entrepreneurs who, from their dorm rooms, are managing social media for digital immigrants.

Mukund is the Joint Secretary for the IIM-Calcutta Alumni Association, Bangalore and is an active member of the alumni e-group.[2] He is actively involved with charity and was the Director of the Youth Services at Rotary Bangalore West. He works closely with HelpAge India and AMBA CEEIC.[3]
