Munda_______The twins’ villages Munda & Mian Killi situated at south-west of the District Headquarter Timergara at the distance of 18 Kilometer on the main Bajaur-Samar Bagh road that furthermore leads to the famous tourist spot Shahi Pass. Munda is an administrative Tehsil lies under jurisdiction of Samar Bagh sub-division of Lower Dir District, whereas Mian Killi is an administrative part of Munda village, situated opposite to the main location Munda Bazar on the other side of Munda-Smarbagh Khwar connected by RCC Bridge. The residents of the area are known for their rich culture, values & typical Pashtun hospitality, honor and dignity. Education facilities including Higher Secondary School for boys, High School for girls, RHC for community health and a Livestock hospital for community livestock’s needs. Mostly people depend on Livestock inputs, Agriculture, income from Middle East and small businesses across the country. The scenery of the area includes steep slope, plain area and is mountainous parts.


Lower Dir consist of 7 Tehsils namely:

  1. Timergara Tehsil
  2. Khal Tehsil
  3. Blambat Tehsil
  4. Adenzai Tehsil
  5. Lal Qilla Tehsil
  6. Samar Bagh Tehsil
  7. Munda Tehsil

Lower Dir District Tehsils have 37 Union Councils population is 797,852 according to the 1998 census report. The projected population of Dir Lower was 1,037,091 in 2005 with the same growth between the 1981 and 1998 census i.e. 3.42% per annum. The projected male population of Dir lower in 2005 is 514,072 and the female is 523,020.
