Nelson Filipe Santos Simões Oliveira (born 6 March 1989 in Anadia, Portugal) is a Portuguese professional road racing cyclist riding for UCI ProTour team Lampre–Merida.[2]

Career

In September 2009, he won the silver medal in the under-23 time trial at the UCI Road World Championships.[3] In November 2009, Oliveira signed with Xacobeo–Galicia.

In September 2010, he went again to the World Championships Sub 23, and was 4th, not repeating a podium by just 4 seconds.[4] In 2011 he won the National Time Trial Championships and finished 17thin the world time trial Championships.

Oliveira left RadioShack–Leopard at the end of the 2013 season, and joined Lampre–Merida for the 2014 season.[2] In 2014, he won the national time trial championships again. He also won the National Road Race Championships several days later. In September 2015 it was reported that Oliveira would leave Lampre–Merida and join Movistar Team for 2016.[5]
