Nickk Dropkick, also known as N3rgul, is an Canadian-American musician & producer,[1] based in South-West Ontario.[2][3] He has released music under various aliases, including N3RGUL ジャッカル,[4] Vāmācāra, and Co)))ltrane.

Musical career

N3rgul is a Electronic music producer who made his debut in 2010 with Subspace Cannibals, following his split in with the Death Cartel.[5] Based in Toronto, N3rgul has produced 7 albums to date, several EP's, and his music genres span from drum n' bass,[6] Vaporwave,[7] trap,[8] glitch-step, witch-house, slime-punk, chill-wave,[3][9] in addition to BlackGaze, and experimental hip hop, under his other pseudonyms.[10] N3rgul is known for utilizing transgressive imagery and sampling within his music.[5] Within N3rgul's works, he has become instrumental in the pushing of internet culture, iconic in the Slime punk movement, and remains a prominent force in the chillwave scene.

In 2015, following the senatorial race of libertarian candidate Augustus Sol Invictus, Invictus and N3rgul collaborated on a song together for the campaign.[11]

Under the name Co)))ltrane,[12] Dropkick further pioneered the dark jazz genre through mixing doom metal and freestyle jazz, to much acclaim [13][13][14][15]
