NRT News is a Kurdish language news television network in Iraqi Kurdistan. It was launched in 2010 by Nalia Media Corroption, a branch of construction company Nalia. It is based in Sulaimaniya.
The station has experienced some difficulties since its inception. The station's offices were torched by a group of gunmen before its first broadcasts. In 2013 NRT TV's owner Shaswar Abdulwahid was wounded in a drive-by shooting.[1]
