Nacellidae is a taxonomic family of sea snails or true limpets, marine gastropod molluscs in the clade Patellogastropoda.[2]

Nacellidae was the only family in the superfamily Nacelloidea. The family is listed in its own superfamily Nacelloidea by Bouchet & Rocroi (2005) but should be included in the Lottioidea following Nakano & Ozawa (2007)

Taxonomy

The following is a cladogram showing the phylogenic relationships of the Patellogastropoda, based on molecular phylogeny research by Nakano & Ozawa (2007):[3]

Patellogastropoda

Lottiidae (including Acmaea and Niveotectura)

Pectinodontidae

Lepetidae

Nacellidae

Patellidae

Eoacmaeidae
