Nagarro is a custom software development and business consulting company that provides business consulting and technology services to its clients. It is headquartered in San Jose, California and has its primary development center in Gurgaon, in the National Capital Region of India. Since 2011, Nagarro is a subsidiary of Allgeier,[1] a Frankfurt listed (FWB: AEI) leading German IT company.

History

Nagarro was formed in 1996 in the apartment of one of the co-founders of Nagarro. The company provided custom software implementations to accompany the business consulting solutions that it provided to its customers. From 1996 to 2015, it grew rapidly, reaching over 3,000 employees from a starting size of less than 10.

In 2011, Nagarro was acquired[2] by Allgeier SE, a Germany-based IT company. Nagarro went on to consolidate other services companies in the Allgeier portfolio and form the Nagarro division of Allgeier. In 2014, Softcon, an Allgeier company already a part of the Nagarro division, changed its name to Nagarro.[3] In January 2015, another one of the division companies, Hexa, also changed its name to Nagarro.[4] This, combined with other companies in the division, gives Nagarro a division strength of over 3,000 employees worldwide.
