Naildown is a Finnish melodic death metal band, originally founded in 2003 under the name Acid Universe.

Biography

After two demos (under the name Acid Universe), their first album World Domination was released in 2005. Their latest album, Dreamcrusher, was released on March 14, 2007. An e-single for "Judgement Ride" was released on February 14.

As of 23 November 2007, keyboardist Jarmo Puikkonen is no longer with the band. The band has announced they are fully able to function without keyboards while on tour, and they will wait until they find just the right person for the job before officially replacing Puikkonen. Frontman Daniel Freyberg explained in an interview with Ass Buster that the band has received a great number of applications from potential keyboardists, and that he himself has already recorded the majority of the keyboard parts for the next album. He explains that a new keyboardist will be announced after the release of the band's third album.

In addition to the departure of Puikkonen, Janne Jukarainen, the band's drummer, has also left the band for personal reasons. In February, 2009 Heikki Saari of Norther fame was revealed to be the new drummer. Daniel Freyberg joined Norther originally as their live guitarist, but in 2010 he became a full-time member.
