Nakisanze Segawa is a Ugandan poet^[1] and storyteller.^[2] She took third place in the Beverley Nambozo Poetry Award 2010, for her poem, "The hustler".^[3][4] She recites her poems mostly in Luganda.^[5] In January 2015 she was a participant in the Ebedi International Residency in Iseyi, Nigeria.^[6] She has had her work published in a number of anthologies. Her short story "Walking the familiar path" was published in summoning the rains.^[7] "JJ" was published in "Never too late". her poem have also been published in a number of anthologies.
