Nalanda Maha Vidyalaya is a co-educational school in the Elpitiya division, Galle district, Sri Lanka. It provides education for around 1000 students in grades 1 to 13.

Nalanda Maha Vidyalaya is situated in Galle District, Elpitiya, Aviththawa. It consists of about 1000 students and a staff of about 50 teachers in the Primary & Secondary schools.
History
Nalanda Maha Vidyalaya was founded after the Japanese dropped bombs on Colombo 5 April 1942.
