Dr. Nanjaiah M., also known as Dr. Nanjaiah Honganuru (Kannada: ಡಾ. ನಂಜಯ್ಯ ಹೊಂಗನೂರು), is a Kannada folklorist in Karnataka state, India. He has written many books on his field, Folklore. His famous books like "Samagra kannada gadegalu" (as an editor),[1] "Janapada dasa sampradaya" and "Jaanapada siri" made his name popular in the field of Folklore. He is currently working as an assistant professor of Folklore in Mysore University.[2] Dr. Nanjaiah recently received the "Kombina honnayya award" for his excellent works in folklore, given by Honnusiri cultural trust, Chamarajnagar, in the year 2016.
